Welcome to the old Civics Blog! We have since switched to Schoology, but this post will suffice for the summer assignment.
Your summer homework is the following:
Read six articles, whether from The New York Times or another credible newspaper or news magazine. Read about topics that interest you, not what you think might interest me.
After each text you read, go to this link and complete the questions. Your answers need not be long, but they should be thoughtful.
All responses are due by midnight on the last day of summer break. Again, this assignment will serve as a diagnostic and help me to ensure that you learn the necessary critical reading skills over the course of the semester.
