Your summer homework is the following:
Read six articles, whether from The New York Times, another credible newspaper or news magazine, or from any of the hyperlinks in the right-hand column of this blog. Read about topics that interest you, not what you think might interest me.
Then, after each text you read, go to this link and complete the questions. Your answers need not be long, but they should be thoughtful.
All responses are due by midnight on September 8. Again, this assignment will serve as a diagnostic and help me to ensure that you learn the necessary critical reading skills over the course of the semester.
